Catechists, Substitute Catechists and Hall Monitors.  In order to provide faith formation for the children of our parish, we need many volunteers each year who are willing to serve as catechists.  The Catechetical Leader trains and provides support to the catechists.  Please our Catechetical Leader, at 685-6377 for additional information or to volunteer.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW).  This is held during the 10:15 AM Sunday Mass from September to May and is open to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Children younger than kindergarten are more than welcome to attend with a parent accompanying them.  Children from our Faith Formation Program and adult volunteers staff this. Please call our Catechetical Leader, at 685-6377 for additional information or to volunteer to serve in this ministry.

Middle School Youth Group.  The St. Mary’s of the Lake Middle School youth group welcomes all children of St. Mary’s in grades 6 to 8.  Our hope is to support the children on their faith journey in fun and different ways.  Programming is monthly from August to June.  Activities include pie making, game night, ice cream socials, sledding, service/community projects, parish pancake breakfast and various other activities.  Parent helpers are appreciated.  Please email Marie Bailey at [email protected]  for more details.

Safe Environment Program.  In compliance with the USCCB, “Protecting God’s Children”, Adult Awareness Sessions are available and free to all adult parishioners.  This training is mandated for all Clergy, Religious, all employees and any volunteer whose ministry brings them into contact with children.  Contact the Parish Office for more information.  Note:  Parents are reminded that an adult must always accompany children if they have to leave the worship area during Mass.  Please be aware that the Church is a public building and this policy is enforced for the safety of your children.
